NEW ABC NETWORKING LAB

June 24, 2021 @ 9:30 am - June 25, 2021 @ 5:30 pm

The NEW ABC partner COMBO is organising a NETWORKING LAB in Marseille to create, together with various local and national stakeholders, harm reduction resources suitable for the public of isolated children who are in a situation of errant mobility.

This event will consist of a panel discussion with the participation of various stakeholders. We are very happy to receive speakers from research such as sociologist Olivier Peyroux and EHESS doctoral student Cléo Marmier, who have carried out in-depth studies on our target youth.

In addition, local associations working on harm reduction (ASUD, BUS31/32, Médecins du Monde) and representatives of the child protection Institution will participate.

The objective of this round table is to feed a common reflection with all those different insights on how to implement harm reduction measures matched to this public. This is a recently identified but crucial challenge. Indeed, addictions to substances (often poly-addictions) have been pointed out by the stakeholders as a major barrier to education and more generally to the inclusion of these youth in society.

A panel discussion on the situation will lead up to a laboratory in which we will delve into concrete issues related to drug use with harm reduction experts and social workers and in which we intend to create practical resources, which currently do not exist. These resources will then be translated, revised and matched at a Co-Creation LAB that will take place this autumn, in Melilla, with the youth themselves, by developing informal and non-formal education tools.
