Associating their life experiences and feelings with those of the Little Prince

Following the workshops with teachers and stakeholders across Cyprus, several teachers have participated in the activities of “The Adventures of the Little Prince in the World”. They started exploring concepts, such as friendship, peace, tolerance, and gratefulness with their pupils and worked together to co-creating various activities. Pupils were really engaged and active throughout the pilot sharing their thoughts, opinions, and feeling with their teachers and the project team.

This pilot brought together more than 45 teachers and stakeholders and more than 400 pupils from cities, towns, and villages all across Cyprus in Nicosia, Larnaca, Ammochostos, Paphos, and Limassol.  The activities were life-changing both for teachers and pupils as they initiated an adventurous journey to discover the emotional depths of the Little Prince. Amazingly, pupils as young as 4 and 5 years old were able to compare and associate their life experiences and their own feelings with those that the Little Prince had. “Empathy, care, and compassion are taught, and love is all that matters when working with children with diverse backgrounds,” a teacher told us. And we honestly feel that this pilot brought together an extraordinary group of people who were open to trying new approaches and methodologies.
