Self-expression and creativity also engage teachers

During the repiloting of Self-Expression Through Poetry, the NEW ABC research team from UNIBO invited a writer, an illustrator, and a radio speaker to engage students in a series of activities based on self-expression and creativity.

Researchers made the following reflection after this session: “We were struck by an inspirational moment as two teachers started participating in the activity as if they were students. They took a piece of paper and started writing and drawing, expressing their emotions and ideas and proudly showing us what they had done. It was moving: we could relate to the teachers and their need to find an opportunity for free expression within the incumbencies of everyday routine. We understood (or remembered) that also adults need at times some time and space to give way to their creativity”.
