Training for teachers about multilingual Grammatics
On 16 November 2023, the NEW ABC partners Silvia Sordella and Giulia Distefano, from the University of Turin, offered a training session at the “Tullio De Mauro Fund” in Turin. This training proposal, addressed to teachers of the secondary school, is part of a series of meetings on language education proposed for this year by Giscel Piemonte. The oral presentation and laboratory activities were carried out with the participation of a group of teachers in attendance and others connected online.
The proposed metalinguistic reflection activities bring into play various languages and arise from an educational path on the rules of syntax co-constructed with Professor Daniela Lo Piccolo in a class of the “Pacchiotti-Revel” Institute of Turin.
The activities are developed within the NEW ABC project, thanks to a long period of participant observation in the classroom during grammar lessons and through a co-construction of activities to better understand the concepts of syntax observed as critical issues.
