On January 18 2024, the NEW ABC partner SYNTHESIS Center for Research and Education, in collaboration with the Progressive Movement of Primary School and Kindergarten Teachers, successfully organized the educational conference “From Classroom to Community: Good Practices in Intercultural Education and the Example of NEW ABC.”

During the conference, they had the opportunity to discuss some of the methodologies and results of the second pilot phase of the project; to hear experiences and actions from educators Dr Elina Gerosimou, Christothea Iakovou, Fani Konstantinou, Maria Charalambous, and Maria Michail Kollifa, and to reflect on the nature and future of intercultural education through the interesting presentation by Dr Despina Kyprianou.

“The conference helped us recognise the need for more good practices in our schools, practices that will empower children’s voices and involve more stakeholders in the educational process”, stated the NEW ABC partner Dora Heracleous from SYNTHESIS.
