Sculpturing a Ukrainian map with Ukrainian young people
On 23 February 2023, the NEW ABC researchers Sari and Katarzyna from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), in cooperation with Aurinkopaja, conducted an activity with some youngsters participating in the pilot action “International migrations and (im)mobilities: identities, agency and voice of refugee background young adults Handbook” they are re-piloting.
With the guidance of the Ukrainian visual artist Anton, a map of Ukraine was created and on it, piece by piece clay works the young people’s beloved childhood and youth memories were shaped by the cities and regions where the young people are from.
