NEW ABC crosses borders and reaches the University of Georgetown, USA

On 22 February 2023, the NEW ABC partner Gerardo Mazzaferro offered a talk at the University of Georgetown, Washington (USA), entitled “Scholars and Migrants Working Together: Activism Across Borders”. Together with Gerardo, Corinne Seals, a Senior Lecturer of Applied Linguistics at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, also participated in the event.

In his intervention, Gerardo talked about the pilot action he has co-created and carried out with young asylum seekers and refugees. This pilot action has resulted in a documentary, “Voices of migrants: remembering the past, living the present, imaging the future”, which we will make public next week. Stay tuned not to miss it!
