Broad participation of NEW ABC partners in the EARLI Conference
On 22 August 2023, several NEW ABC partners participated in the 20th Biennial EARLI Conference, which took place between the 22 and the 26 in Greece, hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Macedonia.
The NEW ABC partners took part in the session entitled “Creating Supportive Learning Settings for Refugee and Migrant Students”, where they presented three separate papers: Firstly, Sarah Crafter (Open University), talked about the experience the UK team of the project has had”The challenges of using co-creation in schools: The case of the Empowering Young Translators Club”. Afterwards, Paolo Della Putta (University of Turin) presented the work the Italian team has done “Helping Italian school teachers design multilingual activities through a co-participative approach”. Finally, Charlotte Menin (COMBO) discussed Co-construction in learning settings: Unaccompanied migrant youth of ‘errant’ mobility.
