The NEW ABC exhibition starts travelling
On 11 October 2023, in the lobby of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University, the vernissage of the exhibition “KIDS ON THEIR OWN” organised in cooperation between the NEW ABC partner Interkulturalni and the Jagiellonian Centre of Migration Studies took place. The exhibition was opened by Prof. Paweł Laidler, Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University, who was accompanied by Prof. Jan Brzozowski, Head of the Jagiellonian Centre of Migration Studies, and Dr Adam Bulandra, Vice-President of our association. “We are very pleased that the opening was very well attended by students and faculty”, stated the Interkulturalni partners.
The exhibition “KIDS ON THEIR OWN” has been created as part of NEW ABC by the partner COMBO, in the framework of the pilot action they carried out with unaccompanied minors in crisis of homelessness, with the aim of improving their access to education and creating links with host societies. The exhibition on display is the result of two photography workshops held in Melilla and Marseille with unaccompanied minors and young adults. The workshop with minors in Mellilla was conducted by Charlotte Menin and in Marseille by Zakaria Bouatir.
The exhibition can be visited in the Faculty of International and Political Studies building at 4 Reymonta Street until 10 November. It is expected that the exhibition will be also shown in other cities by other partners. We will keep you informed. You are warmly invited to visit the exhibition!
