A NEW ABC partner analysing across Europe on migrants’ inclusion issues

During June 2022, the NEW ABC partner Farzana S. Islam, from Active Citizen Europe, has been attending several meetings, panels and workshops where she has discussed migrants, refugees and their inclusion.

This last week, for example, Farzana moderated a workshop on Tuesday as part of the Annual General Conference of ECRE (European Council of Refugees and Exiles) in Brussels. The panel was entitled “Inclusion of Refugee-led community organisations in EU-level advocacy – from challenges to good practice”. The NEW ABC partner UREP also joined this meeting, so they both had the chance to spend some time together (image above).

Besides, Farzana was also a panellist at the Jesuit Refugee Service event where they presented their Change project on raising awareness amongst students on migration, refugees and living together- attended by NGOs, teachers and school admin and student ambassadors. The panel discussion was on designing, implementing and sustaining in the long run programmes for schools to address issues of migration and migrants.

We are sure she learned so many things that will be very valuable for NEW ABC!
