Successful NEW ABC Networking Lab
On 24 and 25 June 2021 the NEW ABC NETWORKING LAB was held in Marseille (France), hosted by NEW ABC partner COMBO. Both Thursday’s panel and Friday’s laboratory were successful, and intersting reflections and discussions arose.
COMBO met various local and national stakeholders, to discuss about how to implement harm reduction resources suitable for the public of isolated children who are in a situation of errant mobility. Professionals who have carried out in-depth studies on our target youth took part in the Lab, such as sociologist Olivier Peyroux and EHESS doctoral student Cléo Marmier.
Harm reduction is a recently identified but crucial challenge. Indeed, addictions to substances (often poly-addictions) have been pointed out by the stakeholders as a major barrier to education and more generally to the inclusion of these youth in society.
